Role Defined:
The purpose of this role is to work closely with key specifiers i.e. Architects, Building Surveyors, Developers, Main Contractors and Housing Associations to deliver profitable sales growth through specification sales.
This a strategically important position with a focus on creating new business and nurturing historic relationships.
As an Area Technical Manager you will be responsible for delivering key business targets and goals as set out by the company management team.
You will work as an integral part of the regional sales team to own and steer sales operations in line with regional objectives and the wider company business plan.
Responsibilities:
Deliver sales targets via the specification market
Manage and develop relationships with key specifiers
Manage and develop relationships with partner roofing contractors
Support the Moy specification team (including technical support where appropriate)
Undertake site based surveys and technical assessments
Produce bespoke and NBS specifications as required
Project tracking and general CRM management
Comply with and implement standard business procedures, including customer pricing and management thereof
Passionately promote the Moy offering to existing and prospective clients and customers
Candidate Profile:
Experience of business development and account management
Exceptional presentation skills, both written and verbal
Experience within the building envelope environment
Consistent and effective in building relationships
Strong communication skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to manage a high volume of workload and have a flexible approach
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate at all levels within and outside the organisation
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, with an understanding of working time constraints and expectations
