Moy were asked by the Project Architect to survey this mixed-use unit in Glasgow with a view to advising on refurbishment and insulation upgrade solutions required to provide long-term waterproofing protection over the client’s asset. The roof coverings had reached the end of their serviceable life and the roof-lights no longer complied with Building Standards, offering poor light transfer into the space beneath.
Our Bitumen Paralon Total Warm Roof System was installed over the existing roof, minimising disruption to the busy space below. New Paratherm PIR insulation was incorporated in the design to insulate the rooftop to current standards and new polycarbonate roof-lights were installed. Our Enkopur cold-applied liquid waterproofing system was installed around difficult plant leg penetrations, negating the requirement to use hot works near vulnerable zones. All backed by a 25 year single point warranty.
