School roof refurb with MOY copper green single ply
MOY was asked to review, prepare and carry out a condition survey (which included a core sample analysis) on Ludgershall Primary School and to advise on a solution and system to mimic what was there previously. The preferred solution was to be cost effective and long term (due to the previous materials not providing the expected longevity that MOY systems can guarantee) as well as upgrading the thermal performance of the building to current standards.
The challenge was that the previous metal roof was failing in multiple areas and had seen vast remedial repairs.
Following our specification and review it was agreed the best option was to install a copper green single ply system with omega profiling.
A solution that was both cost effective and offered long term waterproofing solution to ensure 100% waterproofing integrity and to maintain the aesthetics which was previously there with the metal roof. It also ensured the entire roof was thermally upgraded to current building regulations. This has now refurbished by Stormforce Roofing the whole roof area and given a 20 year warrant for the roof.
