MOY was asked to work with the contractor Roundway Roofing to find a solution for a failing roof on the Devizes Library, Wiltshire.
The roof area was previously weak across the laps in the metal and in danger of extensive ingress. Following our specification and review it was agreed the best option was to use the materials Enkopur liquid and install a copper green single ply system.
The contractor, Roundway Roofing, re-waterproofed along all laps and areas where water ingress could occur with Enkopur. The whole roof area was then coated in the Copper Green EMP to ensure the whole roof area was revitalised and the aesthetics were kept in line.
A solution that was both cost effective and offered long term waterproofing solution to ensure 100%% waterproofing integrity and to maintain the aesthetics which was previously there.
It also ensured the entire roof was thermally upgraded to current building regulations. This has now refurbished the whole roof area and given a 20 year warranty for the roof.
