ABOUT FIBERTITE®
This four-layer technology is what provides operational security for businesses around the world, helping them avoid the risk of roof failure and its consequences.
PROTECTING YOUR OPERATIONAL SECURITY
Operational security means mitigating or avoiding risk that could have an adverse effect on your people, premises, processes, products or procedures. Some systems are rated for only one or two of these factors. To protect your operational security, choose FiberTite® membranes because they provide proven performance in all these key areas.
Mission-critical facilities need to be always on,always running and always focused on health and safety. It’s what’s inside the building that matters — and everything inside needs to be protected. You can’t control outside forces that are threatening your facility. But you can control how you mitigate risks to your operational security.
THE ROLE OF FIBER REINFORCEMENT
Single-ply membranes and modified bitumens incorporate either fiberglass or polyester reinforcing to give strength to their product. The most common style used in a single-ply is a 9″ x 9″ polyester scrim. This is similar to a screen door, leaving small areas that are not reinforced at all, making them quite vulnerable to puncture.* The key is to select a roof membrane that uses a tightly knit fiber to reduce puncture vulnerability.
Seaman Corporation manufactures a tightly woven base fabric, making it highly resistant to punctures and tears — helping to protect your business from leaks and high maintenance costs.
In fact, FiberTite® membranes are proven to provide breaking strength that is up to 349% better than the competition.
